Trial Update
Well had my 12 week scan and got bad news. New site is present which puts me out of the trial. It is a node in the chest and is about 2 cm in size. The other 2 nodes that had shrunk have grown back to their original size. The thyroid is still smaller then when I started as are whatwas found on my right lung. Someo fthe lung mets have even disappeared so there is a mix bag. Will start Sutent in 2 weeks in a non trial capacity so I am looking for info on Sutent, Side Effects, and how I can prepare for this next fight.

DBS, Sorry to hear about
DBS,
Sorry to hear about your latest results. It's a slap in the face and a kick in the gut. Happily, the human spirit is amazingly resilient. Hello Sutent. If I were you I wouldn't read up too much about Sutent side effects, etc. because I believe our minds have a bigger impact than we realize on all this. Why expect the worse? Assume you will sail on Sutent waters with relative ease. And if the waters get choppy you'll just deal with it, that's all. From what I've read, some people have little to no side effects on Sutent while others are thrown for a loop. It's a crap shoot. Like life. Wishing you the best.

So sorry!
Dancnbear1,
So sorry about the results, but so happy that there is something else to try! Sending all good karma your way that this sutent will be the one to knock it down and out! Continue to fight, and wishing only the best results from the new meds!
Prayers for good health!

Hi as for me the only side effect I had on Sutent is I get tired easily. I had 4 cycles so far 4 weeks on 2 weeks off. Hope that gives you an idea at least? God Bless....
