And we now have Sukkot..  I

And we now have Sukkot..  I am at Stanford.. and when I went to get some soup, there I see a nice little Sukkah... It made me smile and brought back many memories of my youth..  Part of the set up was a nice note, telling us that this is a time for healing..  Hope you all are doing well...

This is very clever and cute

I grew up in a Christian household and loved to read as a young girl.  One of my favorite series of books was the All-of-a-Kind Family books about a young Jewish family with five young daughters growing up in New York City just after the turn of the 20th century.  I was greatly interested in the food, holidays and traditions that were described very lovingly in this series.

    Alex, you slay me..!  Plus

Alex, you slay me..!  Plus you must be THE most censored person around here..!!

I should add to my story.. you see back in 2012 when I had my surgery..every day a different person would visit me from a group called The Jewish Chaplaincy, this group visits patients and gives comfort and a blessing.  But to their surprize, I would send each one away with a different story..  Then about 5 days in, I got to meet the leader of this group, Bruce.  Turns out Bruce and I grew up in Detroit about 2 miles apart.. then we both moved blocks apart and graduated from the same High School.. and then we meet up at Stanford..  So, sadly I missed Bruce yesterday by like 15 minutes..   I signed in the guest book.. not sure he will see it.. guess I should e-mail him..

FYI, I got another 90 day parole from the "Warden"..

    Be Well All..!
