Anybody had the cold while on chemotherapy?

It looks like my mom finally caught the bug that Dad says he caught at the hospital.  I caught it after him but even with the massive amounts of lysol I was spraying around, she started coughing today.  For my Dad and myself we felt awful for one day and then had lingering congestion.  I don't know how bad it will get for her but I'm concerned about the congestion because she has had the plueral effusion.  Is there something I can do to help or something that she can take to help her fight this off?  Thank You for reading.

    Thanks

Thank you guys. mom actually handled the cold better than I did.  Tonight she's staying at the hosptial, the plural effusion has caused a traped lung that makes it even more difficult for her to breathe.  It looks as though the hospital suction in her new plurex catheter is having a positive effect and she was breathing much easier when i left for the night.  Thank you for asking.
