Chest scan upcoming Update 9/16/2014

A lot of you know that a couple of years ago a small nodule was found in my left lung, it turned out be cancerous. It was found whilst have a nuclear stress test. Was really small, I showed the oncologist the scan and he said we could do a biopsy if it got larger, over the next three months it did increase in size. I chose to have it removed rather than wait another 6 months. That was in September of 2012. Scans up to the one I had last March showed no extra nodules. But I still have to have scans, have one coming up Tuesday, got me a little antsy. In July my ENT said my throat cancer was 5 years ago and therefore he would only see me if there was a problem. So, here we go again. Denis

Let us know how you go on matey!!!!
A little more than antsy tonight, scan in the morning on the lungs. The Cancer Institute called me this morning to change the time for scan. Gotta be there at 7 am. They will do the scan and then the appointment with the pulmonary doctors at 8:30 am for the results. Will take a nerve pill before bed tonight, want to sleep. Denis

I understand the nerves on the scan. We'll say some extra prayers for you tonight, but you will be good.
I beleave the term used to refer to my lungs is,"It looks like a hand grenade went off in them" I have severe bullous Emphysema and Cronic Bronchitis stage 3. We have decussed removing a third of both lungs so I can breath better. He is still talking and I'm still thinking.

Hi Bill, never heard that description before, creates a real mind image. I think my lungs are pretty good, no difficulties. Had a pulmonary test when the nodule was found and lung function was 100%. Thanks for the thoughts. Denis
