Pink Bus Ride Anyone?
Tomorrow, I am supposed to get my second dose of the chemo Ixabepilone. I was supposed to get it last Friday but my poor liver still hadn't recovered enough from the first dose. The first dose was VERY rough and I ended up in the hospital for 5 days with virtually no white blood cells and a sprained liver! I just felt useless for 3 weeks. (Actually I WAS useless!)
So, somehow I'm not too excited about a second round. They will be reducing the dose and giving me a Neulasta injection but I'm still quite nervous to say the least and will really appreciate you guys going with me!
THANK YOU,
Marty

I will be there
Sorry for the rough time with the first treatment . Let's hope lower dose will be good enought to kill cancer cells keeping you in reasonable conditions.
I will bring roses from my garden

I will be on Pink Bus with you tomorrow
Marty, I will be on the pink bus with you tomorrow. Hope that the reduced amount will do better for you and the nelusta injection will bring your white cells up. I had Nelusta injections after each chemo treatment and they helped me but they gave me flu like systems after 2 days from having them. Each person is different with Neulasta injections. I talked with ladies that had them and they said they did not bother them at all. After you have all your treatments tomorrow, all of us on the pink bus, (because I like to eat) will decide where to stop and have dinner to celebrate the occasion on you getting better. Hugs, Pixie Dust

I'm There............Hang on Girl.............Sometimes that darn bus hits too many bumps in the road but we will all just hang on.......and maybe tell that Driver to slow down a bit. Praying for you tomorrow***
Of course, I'm coming along. Making an extra batch of brownies for the ride.
