Skiffin - Barium Swallow Test Scheduled

Just a quick info....
I'm scheduled to go in for the above on Tuesday..., hopefully to determine the source of the leak... (which I'm certain is the connection of my stomach to my intestinal tract).
I talked to my onco, whom is in the same building and originally had me see someone about the cyst on my pancreas.... She wasn't happy with my progression at all.
She went right down and spoke to my surgeon... She recommended a fistulogram, but he's doing barium swallow test instead, follow-up the next day with him. If he doesn't see anythng, I have an appointment with her on 9/2, she will get something done, she's a bull dog and aggressive.
Either way, I'm sure he's (surgeon) is going to have to go back in to close the hole...
Best,
John

John, I feel your frustration. Lifting you in prayer. Hopefully they get this thing done real soon so you can get back to your abi-normal self.

That the swallow is conclusive enough that you don't need additional tests before the repair can be done.

wow, John, I was really praying you'd be all healed and back to fishing by now. i'm sorry you've had so many set backs. i will be praying that the tests shows what the doc needs to see to get the problem solved and get you back to "John" again. It's been way too long. I hope your onco stays on top of this. She sounds like just the right person to get sh** done! thanks for the update. keeping you and shelley in my thoughts and prayers.

nothing else to say
I thought the barium swallow test just showed the throat??? I had one done a month or so ago and that was all I saw on the monitor. I have another scheduled at Mayo 09/10 along with an esophagus xray on the same day. Hoping they find the answers for you soon.

Leaky hole
I am glad to hear you are doing well but sorry to hear you might need surgery again to close up the leaky hole in the intestine. Just hold in there John and keep giving it a fight that is all we can do. You are dealing with a hole in the gut and I am dealing with one in the palate, man I think we are just getting to old and Holy.
