Arimidex Side Affects
It's been awhile since I have been on here but need people's input please. I went to radiologist today and I have gained 10 lbs since January. My eating habits haven't really changed. I almost cried. I went to oncologist in April - I have a call in to them because I want to konw what I weighed at that appointment. In April I was switched to Armidex after having three d&c's in a two year span thanks to tomaxafen and hopefully am menopausal since it's been over a year. Since sandle season around May my feet and ankles have been swelling. Some days by the end of the day it hurts to even try to bend my ankles. They are huge. I was chalking this up to have incompetent veins and was going to schedule another appointment with Vascular doctor. After hearing today I gained 10 lbs. in six months and discussions at work and doing some research online about the drug ..... it says one possible side affect is swelling of the ankles, legs, and arms - water weight. I think I found my culprit. I'm going to pursue doctors, etc. but I wanted to know how many of you may have had this problem. I can't gain 10 more lbs by Christmas. This is nutz. I'm a large bone person but never in my entire life have a weighed this much or felt so disgusting as it happened overnight. I own over 10 pairs of capri's and only two fit me this summer and that's barely. I refused to buy the next size. I would really appreciate your thoughts about this drug.

Hi I am sorry for Arimidex side effects
I am not sure about capris however the swelling of your feet and ankles should be addressed with your doctor. Make sure your blood pressue , sugar level and kidney function are normal. Please talk to your oncologist about your side effects.
I was on Arimedex for 4 months and had to switch back to Tamoxifen due to its side effects, including swelling of my hands and joint pain.
Good luck and keep us posted
