interesting
Survival rates are pretty good here in the states according to most cancer centers. (HPV+) I hate hearing and reading this type of dx is on the rise, as it doesn't show up for years. Our bodies immune system tries very hard to fight it off. I pray more research is done. Hope all is well with you ! Katie

It is alarming to still be on the climb for oral cancer while other cancers are decreasing. We need more information on the whole sexual transmission part of the equation. The survival rate for HPV derived is reallly impressive though. The article compares successive blocks of years and follows the upward tendency for increases in HPV cases. It then concludes that HPV cancers are more curable and predicts they will rise. I suppose that is the only thing it could conclude. It bothers me that no one talks about the reason/s it's on the increase. It dose mention vaccination as a preventive measure. That is a positive observation.

Great article Gary. Impressed you have time to do research between all them runs and trips!!!!!!!!
Don obvioulsly not my research. Just bimbled accross it. Rick, will be asking my quack about preventative vaccination mate. HPV is becoming a hot topic. Just had a 'brooklyn beer' with a few mates. Was quite vociferous about how my illness came about and about vaccination for adolescent / young men. Gotta get rid of ant HPV stigma. G.
