Thrombocytopenia
Hello,
I was recently diagnosed with thrombocytopenia (platelets were at 50K). They did a bone marrow biopsy and aspiration yesterday to look for other problems. My Red and White blood cell counts were just a tad low (about one point). The docs have advised me this could be leukemia, MDS, nothing, or a few other possibilities. I was wondering if anyone else started their journey in this way.
Thanks and best of luck in your journey!!

Your Journey
I have CLL Leukemia. My WBC is elevated with increasing cancer cells. I am not familiar with your diagnosis. But am praying that your journey will be good. Mine is chronic which is a blessing. It gives more time. Which is all we all want: more time!!!!That bone marrow biopsy was not fun. Was it? Hope you will get good news soon. Blessings.

Just an update. My bone
Just an update. My bone marrow biopsy came back inconclusive. Since then my blood counts have decreased to: Platelets=47; WBC=2.2; and RBC=2.8. Doc is just monitoring me with weekly blood tests for now. Kind of nerve racking but then I guess everyone has something that is nerve racking in their life.
Good luck to all in your journies!
