So I had my results of my ct scan today still stable but my oncologist cant understand the rise of CA numbers.  So he is going to do 2 more rounds of Doxil and another scan.  Depending on the results he will put me on Topetcan not sure if spelling is correct.  Has anyone used this and what is side effects and how does it work, he said 2 weeks on 1 week off.  I told him that he wasnt allowed to give me bad news the day before my birthday, I guess he listened to me.  He also said the disease would change within the 2 months not sure what that meant.

    Hi Chris8588

Being told that you are "still stable" from the results of your CT scan is really good, even though your CA 125 has risen.  I don't have any personal experience with Topotecan but if you get put on it, I hope that you get good results.  I'm wondering what he meant by saying that the disease would change within two months?  You can ask him to explain.

In the meantime, I wish you a very happy birthday tomorrow!  Enjoy your special day.
