Scar tissue

in Anal Cancer #1

Has anyone had a biopsy of what was believed to be scar tissue after treatment? If so, did it really turn out to be scar tissue?

    scar tissue

    I've had 2 biopsies of scar tissue.  One was done when it lit up on a PET scan done only 2 months after treatment ended.  The other one was done after a PET scan showed a different area lighting up a little more than it had before.  The second biopsy was a year after treatment ended.  And it really was scar tissue both times.
