Head and chin wrapped
Just wondering if anyone has had this done.My chin and along sides of chin where swollen.Made me look like Fred Flitstone. Was told it was lliquid that forms there and since the lymph nodes would help move it along to other parts of the body. While going to the speach specialist also started to go to a guy and he would massage it and really helped move things along.I have just started to go back now after radaiation and drugs. It's not nearly what it was but he said it still has some fluid and soft scare tissue. He has suggested a wrap to wear around the chin and head with slight pressure. When he gets done now it almost looks normal and he said wearing the wrap a few hrs at nite as maintance.Has anyone else ever worn one or has heard about it.

Compression Garments
Is their true name. Yes I've heard of them. You can probably find some on Amazon or check out a company out of Wisconsin called "Solaris" which puts out a multitude of professional medical grade garmments. Cruise their website and it will make sense to you. I also went for some lymphedema massage sessions with good results and it seems it is working for you also. Time will get things working again. Hang in there!

I used one also
I had one made for me by the PT gal that I was working with for these issues. Lymphedema is no fun. I remember it helped with some of the nerve pain I was experiencing also. Be careful of the fit, I had an issue with one of my carotid arteries. (too tight in one specific area) It did help quite a bit though ! I used mine during the day time also for awhile. The PT (massages) and specific movements they teach you will help move this fluid around and out of those areas. Good luck, and let us know how you're doing with this as you navigate through this rough bump in the road. Hugs sent ! Katie

He has said very light presure as it won't take much to actually start to move the fluids out.He said even if the scare tissue is soft it would move.Going to order one he also said not every nite maybe 2-3 times a week.

Compression Wraps
I used a product called "Face Caddy" which worked very nicely for me. Basically a nylon and cotton pad with Velcro strips on the ends, that one wraps around their head and under chin with Lymphadema. I used this at night while sleeping. And yes, in the middle of the night, I would have to take it off due to ears getting warm, but it seemed to keep the fluid out from under my neck for most of the day. Just know that some days are worse than others.

Yep, its called lymphodema.
Yep, its called lymphodema. for me, the radiation treatment to my lymph nodes damaged them to the point that they couldn't absorb and drain waste fluid properly causing it to collect in my neck area. The swelling is quite an eye sore for me. I have been going to a therapist who has been performing massages that
seem to help. She also ordered me a compression mask to wear at night and when convenient during other times. Just started so not sure if its doing me any good. Good luck to you bro
