I live in Northern California about 45 miles south of San Francisco. It was about 80 degrees this afternoon and breezy with clear skies. Tonight it will be about 55 degrees. Couldn't ask for better weather.

cooler/wetter than normal
So far, we've been much cooler and wetter than normal. Here at the house, we've only had a couple of hail storms so far that weren't too bad - quarter size or smaller. 2 weeks ago coming back from Ft. Meade (SD) after Hubby's appt, we got in one Hades of a hail storm - up to baseball size.
Supposed to get cooler next week again (in the 80's today) and possible severe T-storms this afternoon and tonight. Oh Ha Well, this is , after all, the Black Hills region.
Hubby never did cable but he did do Dish for a while and yeah it can be nasty. Now he is a tow driver (he loves his job) and if anything it is worse when it come to having to be out in the weather. When a wreck happens - got to handle it THEN no matter what is going on weather wise. (Well except for blizzards while no travel, is allowed but are often back out on the roads before all plowing is done.)

Last week and this week were
Last week and this week were a bit rough here. This week we had some nasty storms blow through here with several consecutive severe thundrstorm warnings not just two or three days in a row but in one afternoon and evening. Tornadoes are rare here in CNY, but a few hit not too far NE of us. Four were killed in one of those. We had some powerful winds.
The past few days have been beautiful -- sunny, low humidity, breezes. Everything is very green.

Weather in North Dakota July
This last week of July we are having the perfect weather, sunny with light clouds in the mid 70's to about 82 during the day and only 38% humidity and about 60 degrees at night, which is perfect sleeping-with-the-window-open weather. I'm not running any AC, just have door and windows open and the breeze is moving through the house.
