damn, Bruce, I'm so sorry to hear that. I wish i had some answers for you but I just don't know. that's just awful. can you possibly talk to your landlord and see if he'll understand your situation and perhaps let you pay less rent than the full amount until you're back on your feet? do you have family and friends who can help? i will be praying for God to bring you thru this and hopefully with some good solutions.

Disability
Not sure where you live or if you have applied, Bruce, but disability has a "compassionate" accelerated payment for those who apply and are living with one of 225 different conditions: cancer is among them. THey actually go back to the time you became disabled and will make "back" payments.
Not likely to help with this eviction but maybe the money can get you a new place.

I tried for social security short term and they said it has to be 12 months

trying Catholic Charities or the Salvation Army? It would be short term help, of course.....but I know that here in podunk Montana, Catholic Charities came up with 1/2 the rent for someone I know.....the Salvation Army came up with the other half.
