help new to board looking for support groups
I AM NEW TO THE DISCUSSION BOARD, I JOINED BACK IN 04, BUT HAVEN'T BEEN ON HERE SINCE THEN. THIS IS MY 3RD BOUT W/CANCER. I WAS DIGNOSED WITH IDC TRIPLE NEGATIVE, I AM NOW DOING CHEMO, THEN IN SEPTEMBER WILL BE DOING RADIATION, THIS HAS BEEN A TOUGH ROAD, MY FIRST TIME WAS THYROID CA BACK IN 86, SECOND WAS UTERINE CA BACK IN 2001 AND HERE I AM AGAIN, I ALSO JUST HAD LABS DRAWN FOR GENETIC TESTING, I BELIEVE ITS BRCA. I AM NERVOUSLY AWAITING MY RESULTS. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR SUPPORT GROUPS IN MY AREA, BUT IT SEEMS THIS FORUM IS A GOOD ONE. I AM TRYING TO STAY POSITIVE AND TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME....SOMETIMES ITS EASIER SAID THAN DONE!
THANKS FOR READING THIS

Welcome to CSN board,
Welcome to CSN board, Rosalinda. You have had your share of cancer. My Dad had two kinds and a recurrence of one of them but it was local and died at age 91 1/2 of congestive heart failure.
You didn't mention the stage of your cancer. I was diagnose back in 1994, stage II, had chemo (CMF) and because I was ER+ went on hormonal therapy for the next 18 1/2 years (ran out of options) and am doing chemo again, I am now on Doxil.
Waiting is the pits. You might call the hospital where you had your biopsy done and ask if they have a medical records department. I just picked up my own ct scan report there this morning.
Wishing you the best,
Doris

Praying that chemo is working for you
Rosalinda, welcome to this website. I am also new too. Joined a few weeks ago and have met alot of friends on here and all of us are dealing with the same, that old wicked beast BC. I hope that you get good results with your chemo. Another good website to go on is Inspire.com. Whatever your stage you are in you can go to that stage. Another great website. Just by luck I found this one and like it too. Hoping the best for you. Hugs, Donna

We have similar names, I am
We have similar names, I am Rosalind. You have had a great deal of health issues. Guessing you are a strong lady and have had and will now have support to help you through your present treatment. Let's hope this is your last clash with cancer, you have had more than your share for sure. I wish you well on your present journey and hope you feel better and strong sooner rather than later. Thankfully the medical profession have you in their system and are checking you frequently. I have had only one scare and you three....... I would be a nervous wreck pondering. Good luck and feel better soon.

Rosalinda, I am so very sorry
Rosalinda, I am so very sorry about all that you have gone through! Cancer just sucks!!!
It sounds like you have been kicking cancer butt for awhile. Chemo is tough, but I have managed it by really communicating any problems with me onc and asking for help.
Welcome to the board and please know that we care. Big (((hugs))). Please let us know how you are doing!
