Skiffin ~ 13JUN2014
Well friends and neighbors.....
Following in my true abi-normal self, Friday the 13th and a full moon, LOL
I think I might have finally reached the corner on this long azz block I've been walking.
I haven't thrown up for a few days, which is wonderful... Eating still isn't going so well, mainly Ensure, but I am managing a few things... I made some Black Bean Soup yesterday, and managed to eat a big bowl no problems..., and luckly black beans don't seem to make me gassy for some reason.
I have noticed that from laying and sitting around so much that when I stand up and walk straightened up, that ny abdominal muscles are really tight and hurting.
So I need to make an effort to walk more and straighten up.
Starting to get a little strength back, but that will come with more food.
I know in the big picture, my stuff is small compared to many here.
But I really do appreciate the support for Shelley and myself.., you guys/ladies are truly family.
John

Finally.....the corner is in sight!!!
This has been a long old haul, John.....and I'm glad to hear you're finally feeling better! No gas with Black beeans.....interesting .....thought beans were guarenteed to be the musical fruit. Sending positive mojo, that the other corners come faster and you'll be around that block soon.

now - around the block again....
Hey,
So good to know you are typing away again. Good sign of progress. I hear sets of crunches are great for fixing up those lazy muscles.
Not seen much posted about beans and gass......... Indian food has a huge variety of spices and a number fall into the category called digestives. They do wonders degassing and help your stomach processes foods. Common ones are ginger and garlic. A special one called asafoetida is especially good. Throw these into the pot and listen to the silence. lol
Asafoetida is measured in pinches so go easy on that one.
Take care, Don

Don, mate got a PM reply from John which further demonstrates that unique humour still rolling. You are indominatable mate! IM hoping hes learning to love soccer as we speak (and importantly cascading this learning to the 'missus'). Great game on now but Im afraid 8 days out of treatment my experiment with beer has failed and there us a good chance John will beat me to one (and probably a curry also) Have a great weekend, G

John,
I will have a bowl of that black bean soup even if it doesn’t make me gassy.
I am glad you are better, now straighten up.
Matt
Glad to ready your post and hearing some positives. I know it has been a very difficult road. Baby steps, my friend, baby steps....they will get you to where you need to be.

GLAD TO HEAR
Hey John,
I'm glad to hear that you made it around the corner, and that things are a little easier for you. I hope that you are able to keep enlarging your diet, and continue regaining your strength, keep those black beans coming. You will soon be back on your boat floundering in the bay. Keep It Mov'in Forward!

Wonderful News
John:
So glad you're turning the corner. Y'all are in my prayers constantly and it's good to hear you're eating a few things now. Hope it's not too much longer before you're out fishing again; I'm sure they wonder where you've been!

Up and around....
Glad you're up and around. You will be chasing Shelley in no time..... Keep up with the soup making. There is such a variety to make and probably very easy to get it down and keep down.
Progress is coming, hang in there!
