UPDATE
As posted earlier, I had to stop Taxotere and go back to Cisplatin, as the Taxotere worked very good but have me horrible pleural efflusions. I'm happy to report the the Pleurex Catheter that was placed on my right side on Feb 22nd was removed last Thursday. I do have a small leaker on my left side and the plan now is to watch and drain by needle if needed. Found out today that last weeks CT Scan done after 6 weekly treatments is reducing the size of the small nodules on my right side. So it looks like I will stay the course and also seemed to have turned the corner on the weight loss. I had lost almost 30 lbs with the leakage as what was being drained was pure protein and albumin, the building blocks of muscle growth and weight gain. I've now gained 6 lbs in the last 3 weeks vs losing 2-4 lbs every week.
Best
Mike

glad to hear it
You may have heard Greg and me talking about you last week. Long time, no hear type of stuff. I'm with you oon the taxotere, it is a rough drug long term. I've had five courses of it this time, after three courses two years ago. And it is really kicking my rear. wishing you continued success.

Hi Mike
Looks like the change is what was needed for you; will continue to keep you in pray all the way through. Also sounds like you filially got it working right on the weight problem. I can’t get my thyroid working correctly enough to gain any weight, eating 6 times a day to stay at 140lbs. My wife thinks it is because I am too active and always on the move doing things. Oh well we got to do what we do while we feel good enough to do what we do. Lol
