my aunt has just been diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer mets to pelvis, mass is sitting in her kidney. She had her first round of chemo afterwhich she developed bacterial infection bladder.. they treated her with antibiotics and subsequently put a stent to prevent the recurrence of bacterial infection. after she was discharged she had a 20lb wt gain in 1 week, ascites, pain in her lower extremities . She was then brought to er again. Her bun is at 2 when bot hydrated 1.68 when she's hydrated.. now the dr is saying no chemo but palliative... Any thoughts on this? miracles do happen and we're wishing hoping and praying for a miracle..
