Leena aka Smokeyjoe passed away this morning

Leena sent me many pms on many nights telling me to tell my doctor to step up her game. She shared stories about her family and her pictures show her amazing passion for adventure. There is no rhyme or reason only sadness.

I knew this day was on its way

but it still doesn't make it any easier.  We had a mutual love of boating, and had some nice conversations.  I will really miss her upbeat presence on the board.  And my heart goes out to her husband and children.  I am so, so sorry for their loss.

On a lighter note, I hadn't corresponded with her privately so didn't know she was female.  I assumed she was a curmudgeonly duck dynasty type character who probably smoked a pipe and maybe rode an American made motorcycle!

It is so sad to hear of people passing.  Cancer is such a terrible disease and robs so many of so much life.

My prayers and thoughts are with Leena's family and friends.  That we are surrounded with Love during this time of loss. That we remember Leena and give thanks and jubilation for having had her in our lives.

Too funny because the first email she sent me was about ovaries and I thought why is this guy discussing my ovaries? I really am going to miss her stories.  Just a good egg all around.
