Hi, Everyone
Hi, All. Haven't been on in a while. So far I am 4 and 1/2 years n.e.d.; however, the side effects from the chemo and radiation have left me permanently disabled. I was hospitalized twice for pneumonia due to scarred lung tissue from one of the chemo drugs I was given. My husband lost his battle with his second cancer last January 2013. It has been a long road; a sad road. I miss him very much... we were the best of friends.
I am however doing my first relay for life this June... in memory of my husband and as a survivor myself. My children will be there to cheer me on and to remember their step-dad.
I hope all of you are doing well. God bless.

Thanks for stopping in to update us, but I'm sorry to hear that you have long-term and permanent side effects that you are dealing with. I'm happy to know that you are 4 1/2 years NED though!
I send you my condolences on the loss of your husband. I'm sure he would be proud of you knowing that you will participate in the relay this year. It's a great way to memoralize those we've lost to this disease, raise awareness and help with funding for research, etc.
Take care and come back any time!
