Update to my health status:

Because not all of my friends and family are on csn I may not always post here

Solution:

I do have an email that I sent out with updates. If you would like for me to email you as well, please PM me with your email address. your email will be private and not shared or shown to anyone else, not even those already on the list.

 

Cleveland clinic

A couple weeks ago I went up to Cleveland clinic (a referral from my Oncologist) It was pretty much a bust. The Doctor up there basically told me the same thing as the James Hospital. Go home and enjoy what you have left. :(

 

The best part of the trip was stopping at diner style Denny’s on the way home. It’s been years since I’ve been there and the server was excellent!

 

Angry Thumb update. It’s been a few weeks since radiation. Thumb is not as angry, but still mad. I posted new pictures.

 

Currently Today

I’m having more and more unexplained pain. I cannot believe how debilitating pain is.

And I’ve  gotten sick (bug) x2 in the last couple weeks and that’s a terrible feeling, because I can barely move.


So please pray for strength and protection from sickness.

    Hey Nick,

    I'm sorry to hear about all of the stuff that you are having to deal with, and especially that the trip to Cleveland was a bust.  I'm hoping that you are able to get some relief from your pain, and get over the bug illnesses.  I'm sending you all the best of wishes, hopes, positive energy, and mojo.

    Hi Nick

    Hay partner just to let you know you are in my prayers. Don’t worry about the doctor telling you to go home and enjoy what time you have left, I was told the same thing in 2006 that all I had was 6 months to maybe a year at best and I am still here 8 years later. Still working full time and I am thinking of taking a part time side job just to help build my retirement fund. Anything is possible with God through pray.

    Pain is a horrid thing to endure.  I am so upset they can't control this for you.  I thank you for this post to update us, we think of you always.  I did p.m. you with my e-mail, and as always young man my prayers and thoughts are with you and the family.  Katie

    Update

    Nick, sorry Cleveland was a bust but glad Denny's was able to provide something positive from the trip.  I think about you and your family often and keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. 

    I hope you and the doctors can find something to relieve the pain and the sickness you've been dealing with the past few weeks.

    Hondo said it best...keep the hope! You have lots of prayers coming your way. My cousin was told to get his affairs in order 10 years ago...he is in Alaska on vacation today!

    Nick, there are many of us here who have been told something similar, and I am one of those, who is now pushing 4 years of fighting. I'm confident once you get your pain under control, and the bug fixed, recharge your batteries and keep fighting. I'm a believer at least half this battle is fought with a good mental attitude. I'm not saying that is easy as I have had many a day where I didn't even get out of bed. I'm not feeling good today, but somehow I will drag my now skinny **** to the gym and if only to let the beast know"you did not beat me today."
