Ultrasound done/now awaiting FNA
I received my ultrasound results and driving myself insane. I am driving myself crazy with research and just wondering if anyone can give me their impression of my test results. I have a FNA scheduled but it's 2 weeks away. Any help and insight would be great to see if this is possibly cancerous or most likely to be cancerous? Thanks! I know it's highly treatable. I have read that the multiple puncate bright calcifications has a 85-95% likelihood of malignancy.
Findings
There is an approximately 1.5 x .9 x 1cm slightly lobulated, hetergenously isoechoic solid nodule in the right posterior mid lobe with a thin hypoechic rim containing multiple puncuate non-shadowing bright reflectors suspicous calcifications and demonstrating moderate internal vascularity on color doppler.
