Skiffin Update 5/7/14

Well John is having a bit of a hard time getting comfortable at home.  He has had a fever (got antibiotics for that); has had some acid reflux issues (got meds for that), still having some nausea.  This was major surgery so it is going to take a while to get his old abi-normal self back.

So... some more good mojo is needed.

He and Shelley are very grateful for all of your support.  And I thank you as well.

Phrannie, I am with you on this....

if he could just get comfortable it would be great to just sleep for a while.  Shelley has tried several different tricks (special slanted pillow, propping him up so he is more upright)....so far nothing is working well enough.

Maybe he needs to jog around the house a bit more so he is more tired.

all is well.  It is still hard for me to read posts on this list, but I figured it was time to put on my big girll pants and do it.

I am home, pretty much sick as a dog, but just a tiny bit better most days.

Right now it's mainly all about hydration and calories and lots of rest..

That sounds familiar.  Don't forget peach slices!  Hope the girls are being easy with you!  Prayers for you and your wonderful Shelley.  Caregivers are the best.

Home

John, heading to Florida (Lakeland) tomorrow to see my mom for Mother's Day.   I'm going to bring a Texas size stack of positive vibes and deliver them personally to the state of Florida with your name on them.    

Keep moving forward John and I know it must have been a tough road so far but  If anyone can do it you can.  Plus I hear the fish are really going to start biting in a few weeks so you have time to heal enough that maybe you can be there when they do!

Take it easy my friend and don’t overdo it, it takes time to heal and you want to heal right. We will keep the prayers going for you and hope that soon you will be up and fishing again.

I have my spies watching over John. They tell me Shelley is doing one hell of a job even without the nurse outfit.
