Father has a big surgery tomorrow.. Need your prayers
My father has had Oral SCC that refuses to go away. He had an 18 hour surgery long time ago which rendered him unable to eat from mouth due to removal of Upper and lower Jaw on one side of the mouth.
The refuses to leave after nuerous treatments chemo radiation surgery clin trials.
He also had a PEG tube placed when this happened so he could get his nutrition through there. That also had to be replaced twice becuae of leaking.
Few weeks ago, the leaking form the G tube out and Give him TPN for a week and see if the wound would get smaller. Little did we know, the PICC line got infected and created a clot. He is now hospitalized and is going for a surgery tomorrow to get a J tube or even a surgery to fix his huge hernia and place another tube.
what makes things complicated is his oral area is hard to access so they will have to put in breathing apperatus through his neck which may take a long time to heal and his blood infection could cause an infection in his stomach.
We are hoping its simple. he gets a J tube in and he is out of the surgery soon!
I need your prayers and positive healing energy for him and I will certianly pass all my energy to you all.
god bless
Just heard from doc. Surgery went well, now we have to wait for the ICU and recovery.
