I'm a little confused...
I got a phone call from my surgeon's office and the receptionist said she wanted to book a phone consult for me for May 5th. My surgeon is on a 2 week vacation and that would be his first day back but I'm confused about the length of time between surgery and getting results.
I don't technically have a family doctor. There's one at a walk in clinic that I see and she's great but it seems that she didn't get the results because she's not officially my doctor. It's just that my surgery was on April 4th, so that will be 4 full weeks that it takes for me to get results.
Part of me thinks maybe that's a good sign that there doesn't sem to be a rush to get me to see the next person (if one was needed) but I don't know. I don't know what to think. If the results were bad, wouldn't they want me to get started with meeting other specialists for consult on treatment? I will be pissed right off if the results are bad and I had to wait this long to move to the next step because someone was on vacation.
I still have 11 more days until I find out what's going on.
