Update on old member Diane
Just got the news from Diane that 5 years and 3 months since her first dx (Stage III) and 2 years and 3 or 4 days since her hepatic resection, her CT and MRI's were clear. Her doctor was very upbeat and said that at 2 years with no recurrence, she has a really good chance of no other recurrences. CT and MRI every six months until next year and then she'll move to yearly scans and regular CEA's. Her CEA is a reliable marker so far.
So, for those who remember her, just wanted to share her great news.

Wonderful
Thank you so much for the update. Loved having Diane on board and sorry that she had been banned. Used to keep up on facebook but I'm not into that. Please let her know that I'm glad she is doing well.

Kim; This is the second time in the past week that someone has refered to someone being bnned, the other was Pete. I seldom post but try to read most of the older members posts to keep up with their progress and was wondering what has happened to this site . At one time it was an open discussion site and not politicaly correct so members had no reservations about discussing any situtation in their life, some were seeking advice and others just wanted to vent. There seemed to be nothing tabboo, now members are being banned, what happened to freedom of speach or is that just if someone else agrees with you. I would appreciate it if someone could enlighten me. Thanks Steve

Diane is my wife of almost 53 years. I joined when I had advanced prostate cancer. Cancer free for 2 1/2 years but incontinent.
Diane has been CURED for a long time. She'll turn 73 this December. Her first cancer was Stage IIIB colon in Jan. 2009 and then a small met to her liver in April 2012. She had 80% of her liver removed but no follow up chemo. Next week will be 11 years since her liver resection.
Other than high blood pressure and a crazy thyroid, she's doing great.
