Happy Birthday Ron! (Ron50)
Woo Hoo! Another birthday.
Dear Ron, I hope you had a wonderful birthday. I hope you got to do something special. Are you really 64?
Is your birthday today, or yesterday? I know there is a BIG time difference between the states and Australia, so a date would be great.
We're all thinking of you (even if we've missed the acutal day.
Balloons a Party
Cake and even a dancing man.

Thanks
Yes 6/04/50 was the date of my birth. Some days I feel like I should be getting a letter from the Queen. At least it was a Sunday this year so I did not have to go to work. Still battling with nephrotic syndrome with my kidneys . The cyclosporine is taking a toll on me but my protein loss is starting to drop so I am looking forward to 65 and the pension, tho the government is suggesting it may have to raise the pension age to 70. I've been working since I wasa 13 ,what more do they want? thanks again for your birthday wishes. Ron.

Happy birthday Ron, and I hope you can get your pension at 65! 70? really? Let's just strike that thought from our minds! It's great though that you are thinking of these future birthdays!

You are just 4 months older than me, I will be 64 on August 5th. Good to hear your protein loss is starting to drop.
Happy Birthday , love Virginia.

I'm happy with the protein loss but something funny has happened since I started the cyclosporine. For years my liver markers have always been in the red for some of the tests. Not bad but in the red. I kept getting told it was probably fatty liver. After two and a half months of cyclosporine all of my liver markers have dropped into the black. My neph does not really know what is going on but he asked me if I would consider going on a short sharp dose of prednisone again. Imuran or cyclosporine plus prednisone is the treatment prescribed for auto-immune hepatitis. I don't know how often I have told them my liver does not fit where it is supposed to. When I heard my results I immediately thought of you and some of the liver problems you have had. Might be an idea to give your docs a bit of a heads up on whats going on with another levamisole user. Hugs ron.

Thanks for that Ron, I will pass it on to my Dr. I have been referred to a Venous Surgeon and just heard from the Hosp today that I will get an appointment within three months. I have had a leg ulcer since early Dec and the referral was classed as urgent. After a dopplar ultrasound a blocked artery was found. I am starting to wonder if I will still have a leg by the time I am seen. That's what you get for living in the woop woops, love Virginia.

I don't like it when the plumbing starts playing up. If clots start breaking up you don't where they will finnish up. I got good news from the nephrologist today. My protein loss is still dropping as are my liver functions. He agrees with the auto-immune hepatitis possibility. I will never be in remission so it looks like cyclosporine for life. Just another hurdle. Good luck getting into see the doc as soon as possible. I hope it is soon and they resolve it quickly, all the best Ron.
