SCAM ALERT!
All, just had a personal message in inbox from a Mrs. Sarah Duke wanted me to help liberate over 8 million dollars inheritance to cancer charities. Be aware. What sort of scum would infiltrate a site like this and what sort of idiots do they take us for! Claims to be a Mrs.Sarah Davies from Cape Verde. Beggars belief that there are what I would very loosely call people like that out there.Makes me feel like using profanity ! I know you will all be to wise to engage with the bottom feeders. G.

This isn't a new scam...
we've seen it here before. I honestly don't know why they attempt it here, but they do.....we have good moderators who keep them out of the regular board, but it's tough to monitor private messages. Thanks for the heads up that they're at it again.

P. Melody the moderator was onto it very quickly! Thanks CSN. Cant even imagine what sort of individual would try to do this to cancer survivors. Regards, G.

or something very similar when I first joined the website last year.
There are a lot of highly unpleasent people around, but to scam a cancer message board is pretty much the lowest of the low.
However, as my mum always says; What goes around, comes around. The people behind these scams will one day be facing serious illnesses themselves...

If you ever have have a situation similar, and it isn't taken care of quickly... You can always PM Greta, she's the main mod here and will handle it swiftly usually.

People surprise you. I was in the supermarket yesterday. A very elderly lady had her bag open with a substantial amount of cash in it. A young guy who looked rough was looking in the bag. I was steeling myself to act when needed but dreading it because of recent surgery (something I wouldn't have even thought about in the past). The lad alerted the lady to her open bag and gently asked her to be careful.

Guzzle, it just show us that first impressions can be deceiving. It's nice to know there's still good people in the world.
