4 years today

Hi Everyone
Haven't been on much lately work prevents me from having much of a personal life but hell, that's what keeps me so young looking. (I know, that would be my funny for the day)
It will be four years today about 11:30AM that I finished radiation. I find it hard to believe it's been that long, but with getting up in years time flies by quickly. I am living proof it can be done. During treatment I thought I was living Bill Murray's Groundhog Day. But four years ago today I realized it was over and time went by not neccesarily quickly lets just call it smoothly. I can truely say every pain staking minute was worth it. So those of you battling..........fight on with everything you have, for those of you healing.......heal on and take a sigh of relief that you can relax and watch the food network and say .........yep I'm goona try that someday.
As my buddy John states with the new "abi-normal" I enjoy every minute of every day. And I am very proud that I have a ligitimate excuse for not being normal. Just ask my wife who was my caregiver and now wishes she could have made it look like an accident. (naa she loves me as I sneak a peek over my shoulder)
Fight On........Heal On and never give up. And remember there are so many wondeful people on this site who can get you over all the hurdles cancer throws at you.
Enjoy the day..........I will
Jeff

Thank you for the inspiration
Jeff, thanks for the inspiration and the good news - as a newbie who just finished radiation in January of this year and waiting on my first and hopefully only post scan thanks so much for the sage words. I am so happy for you and your loved ones. I continue to draw strength from all the good and kind souls on this network, I hope I can give back like you are doing now for me.
Have a great day!
All the best

4 years
Jeff,
Congratulations on the 4-year milestone and the smile you bring to those who know you.
I actually use rads as an excuse to buy vanilla ice cream cones (every week). I have established my base line and I am now in taste testing.
In the words of a very smart man “Enjoy the day……I will”.
