One Year Ago
Today marks one year since my cancer diagnosis. Hard to believe that surgery and radiation, and 5 months of tamoxifen took up the majority of my time and focus. Currently, I am doing well with the aftermath of the cancer. Energy level is almost back to normal. I am still not back on my tamoxifen as my onc wants to wait until I see my bone mineral metabolism doc to see how the perlia shots are affetcting my osteooporisis. If that stailizes when I go back for my bone scan, then she may consider letting me re-start the tamoxifen. This is all complicated by the PVC heart irregluarity. In fact today, they put be back on the Holter monitor for another 48 hours to re-evalulate the PVCs and to see if the beta blocker is working. I think it is working great - because I feel GREAT! Keep your fingers crossed that the Holter monitor shows the improvement I feel and that the bone scan will show stabilization on my bones and I can re-start the tamoxifen as arimadex is not an option for me. I appreciate all of the support I have received from everyone here durng this past year and like so many others have said, it's not a place you want to have to come to, but is the place to be when you need to be here fighting the beast.

1 year anniversary
I am right there with you Beth...March 6th was my 1 yr...Still going thru the reconstruction / deconstruction...Not having good luck with this part of the process...At times, I wish I had not chose to have immediate reconstruction. If only, there was a crystal ball -
Sorry to hear you have had heart issues as well...remember to listen to your body - nobody knows it better than you!!! And, you're right, the folks here have been great and really supportive...wish I had found this website earlier when I was making all of my decisions...
Cheers to your anniversary....Andi
