    Was pm'd by a marketer here on this site. Private business looking for info I'm not interested in giving. I just wondered if it was a sent to all or just some.

    Apparently...

    just some...perhaps survivors of metastic disease like you and Neil, but not those "cured" solely by surgery such as me. It may be the war stories that they're more interested in, hopefully its not just a scam.

    I got it as well. I replied that I was suspicious of anyone soliciting in the site. The company got a D minus from the BBB of Chicago base on 3 claims in 3 years. Her Reaponse was that they can't get referrals from doctor offices and they reach out on Facebook and other  sites. Since this is an open forum, I guess it isn't a bad place to ask.....I may give her a call this weekend. As long as they don't need financial info, I am ok to give some time. I will post my experience.

    my mother did market research in the past, so maybe I'll just give it a try.

    I thought this site was for the intended purpose of peer support.  I realize it is an open forum, but I'm uncomfortable with solicitation.  Aren't you supposed to report something like this to the administrators of this site?  I havent received an email even though my husband is stage 4, but perhaps because I am posting as a caregiver.  Id hate to see this site get overrun with solicitations of any sort.  I would encourage others to at least notify the administrators here of the content of the email.  Thanks.

    Hello,

     

    This is Emily, one of the CSN administrators. Can you send me any info on who this email came from and I can take a look at it for you? It's a little harder for us to catch these people with they send private messages rather than out in the open in the discussion boards. Any info you can send would be great!
