My mammogram did not turn out good

I did not get the results that I had hoped for today. They found a spot in my breast. They think it is a cyst. I have an appointment scheduled for monday with the surgeon to discuss everything. I also have an appointment with my oncologist scheduled for the 24th. I am so scared that the cancer has come back.
Thanks to all that rode with me today.
Hugs
Mommaellen

So Very Sorry...
I am sorry that you have to go through all this again. Especially as you have your daughter's health issue to be concerned over too.
I don't know what they do with cyst in a breast, perhaps someone else will answer that question.
Sometimes a lumpectomy leaves a few cells behind. However it would still be considered local than metastatic. Still do overs are never fun.
I do hope that it turns out to be a cyst.
Wishing you the best,
Doris

Scary. Crossed fingers and everything else that this is nothing more than a cyst. So sorry this is happening.

Who wouldn't and I am very sorry that this is happening. But don't forget that it still can only be a cyst.
Hugs and fingers crossed for you, Carmen
I also have been called back for a repeat Mammogram. I am not scheduled until February 18, 2014. It is amazing how nervous I feel. I wasn't told what was on my initial Mammogram, but I wondered why the technician took more pictures of my left breast than my right. I am hoping for both of us that everything will be good!
