What do yoga mats, shoe rubber and Subway have in common????
The answer is...... They have the some of the same ingredients in the bread ,the yoga mats and the shoe rubber. I just can't figure out why we get cancer and why cancer is on the rise. Maybe they should call for a $100,000,000 Federal investigative committee to find out. Whoops !!! Is this to political since the FDA has been aware of it for a long time? WTF ????

Subway CEO has confirmed the findings and states he will see what he can do to have it removed. Can you believe that crap. That is mighty American of him don't you think? Ate my last Subway sandwich.

Hey John,
Back from Subway and bounced out the door all the way to the truck. I was the only one in there. Got waited on fast !!!
Hi John,
I saw that yesterday on the news and thought to myself..."dang, Subway is suppose to be the place for "healthy" subs! Remember Jared who lost all the weight? Hmmmm...wondering what he's thinking now!! My grandmother always said.."we are what we eat". The sad thing is we REALLY don't know what is in the food we eat, even when they list it. We rarely do fast food anymore and completely steer clear of buffet dining. Read labels and cook homemade is probably the best way to go...and then who knows! Sue

What can we say. There are quite a few people out there that have some sort of cancer. Quite a few more that do not even realize it. I mean would we have ever known if not just having something checked out at the Drs. office. If only people would heed some of the warnings. Then, if there is money to be made we will never hear of any warnings either. When someone tries to let people know the latest news on something that probably slipped out by accident to the media and still nobody seems to care. Well, what else can you do. I was just joking about going to Subway today, but would you believe that I did ride by and it was packed with patrons. No, I was not one of them. I honestly believe if the news report had of said eating at Subway will gaurantee you will get cancer nobody would listen and still went to Subway for lunch. Like I was saying before, What can we do? I have not had fast food for a long time, but I have a weakness for Chinese buffets. Thanks for replying. John

I have a weakness for chinese buffets also - always eat too much but I enjoy the variety and I do try to eat lots of vegetables and fish . It's difficult to eat healthy these days with all the processed stuff out there that permeates nearly everything pre-prepared. Have you noticied how fast food has gottten more expensive? For lunch in particular, you can eat in a decent sit down restaurant with lunch specials for about the same price (not including tips) as fast food.
Also, items are getting smaller just lie the candy bars have over the years....

I know eating healthy is really getting hard nowadays. As far as fast food I never go into them any longer. I am sure the price will continue to rise. They call it fast food and not cheap food as you already know. We have a bunch of them, especially next to the #95 interchange and everytime I ride by they are packed with cars. I have read a lot on what the ingredients are in their food and a lot of it has been shown to cause cancer, heart disease, etc.. #1 is the man made preservatives they use that have been proven to cause cancer in lab animals.Yet the FDA approves it as safe because the amounts are minute. They also know that most stuff like that is cumulative and never leaves the body. The FDA also approves of the growth hormone used in chicken and livestock force feeding. Another ingredient that causes abnormalities in the cells. I have learned over the years to never trust anything that is backed and approved by the government. I know it sounds negative, but if you don't watch out for yourself nobody else will either. There is a chemical plant in Maryland that dumps all their chemical waste, using a 1/4 mile long 6 ft. wide pipe into the Chesapeake Bay daily. They pay the fines because it cheaper than paying for waste disposal. The EPA has done nothing and it has been going on for decades. Can't wait to get some Maryland blue crabs this summer.
I have noticed a lot of grocery items are smaller. I go to Food Lion and they cook chicken in the store. They used to sell fried chicken legs, breast, etc. in a package for $3.99. It's still the same price, but the portions are a lot smaller. They must be using pidgeon parts now John
BTW: As most people already know Cancer is on the rise and I do not know why.

One of our board monitors saw my "duplicate" message and deleted the wrong one. ***Sigh***. I posted a heart-felt message to this thread and now it is gone. . .
Dang...Know the feeling. After that happens you sit there and talk to yourself trying to figure out what happened. If you are not like me, Maybe you can remember what you were saying and try it again. John
