MRI and CAT Scan on Feb 7
Hi everyone,
It is time for my MRI and Cat Scan and it seems like the time has flown since the removal of my brain tumor on November 13. I still get a little anxious thinking about the results, but I have to tell everyone, I have been feeling extemely well and so happy and thankful for every morning that I wake up feeling so wonderful!
Oh, and by the way I did lose some hair from the cyber knife radiation treatments. I was able to use my husband bandanas to keep my head warm, and wearing sunglasses backwards on my head to help the Grandkids to have some fun when we we would go out! I have to tell you, some of the looks we got were hysterical and so much fun, it was almost (I did say almost!) worth losing the hair!
Thanks again for alwyas being there for me, and for keeping my spirts up, I am so happy to have you all as a wonderful support system!
Djinnie, I miss you and hope all is well with you!
As soon as I get my results, you all will be the first to know!
Love and prayers for good health!
Brenda

Brenda, I am "newish" here but just wanted to send you warm thoughts of care and hope.
It is normal to have any kind of emotion and some anxiety after what you and others have gone through. Just know that I am glad you informed us and reache out!~
Sending you healing thoughts and moments of peace of mind!
Luv your "look" badas# grandma!!!

From having both tests at one time, and many CT's, they aren't fun. The reason you have to have them is not so great, either. But having a great time with the grands and keeping them involved with your life is the best part of it all.
Fuzzy bald heads, funky scarves, bass-ackwards glasses. It all works. Wait until your triceps gets a bit flabby, and they'll play with your bat wings. Whatever it takes to sustain yourself through this fight is good. Just keep fighting.
And congrats to your spouse and family for being beside you in all this. Thank you all.

top notch tough chick
Perfectly put, Fox! You are right on all counts.
Brenda, I'm so happy you are feeling so good! I strongly suspect your positive attitude and tenacious spirit are, in part, responsible for you feeling so well. I hope you know what an inspiration you are to me. Right now, I am cancer free. Should that change in my future, I want to be a top notch tough chick, just like you. And do it with class, just like you!
I, along with Jan, fox and so many others will be anxiously awaiting a good report. But, just so you know, I will be on a cruise and out of commission from the 9-16th, so unless you get results back right away, I may not be able to congratulate you on your good report until I get back. But, I will be thinking about you and will continue to lift you in prayer, my friend.
I bet you rock that bandana!!

NED!
Hi Everyone,
Results for MRI and Cat Scan are both good! I will go back in June to do the rounds again. How quick this all becomes a way of life, and we just all get used to living life around our dates with Doctors. I feel so lucky and so happy to just be here and not feeling sick. I have been dealing with RCC three years this August and I can say through it all, I have never really felt bad. To me this is just so sad and so real that so many people find out about RCC at such a late date. I had a couple of close calls, but was lucky enough to come out of them with a smile on my face and realizing that life is really what we can make of it and who we surround ourselves with.
Thanks for being there, ALWAYS for me!
Love and prayers for good health,
Brenda
