I need your help please - Words of Inspiration Needed

Hello!!

I hope everyone is doing well and recovering quickly with no complications.

I come from the breast cancer forum, dx at the age of 32.

I want to reach out to all of you because I'm working on a project for my aunt, who was diagnosed with AML (leukemia) at the age of 46. She means a lot to me because she has been like a mother to me. She is having a hard time with support and health care. There is no support in the Dominican Republic and she needs to hear positive words. So I thought I could collect words of inspiration from several cancer patients so she gets inspired everyday. It looks like her treatments will go on for 2 years, sadly. Her cancer is in the bone marrow. Prayers are welcomed for her recovery.

Please, post something inspirational from your experience below this post. I will be translating all these messages and create a scrapbook for her. I think all cancers bring up similar emotions and fears although they are biologically different.

Thank you so much for your help.

Her name is Rosis.

XOXO

    Hope

Rosis always trust that there hope.  I was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lynphoma in my brain and the stats all say that I would live maybe at the most one year.  I was diagnosed 4 years ago.  I have undergone monthly chemo until now where I have it once every four months.  After 9 months when my tumors were stablized, I went back to work and worked part time for 3  years.  I got tiered of driving back and forth to work ( an hour from my house) so I now have retired again.  I am now 74 and was diagnosed when I was 70.  I have adorable identical twin grandsons who are now three and the doc told my daughter that I probably wouldn't see them.  I believe in prayer and will pray for you.  I think I am here because so many prayed for me.  Blessings and hugs.  Trust in the Lord.

Sweeheart, when I began My journey with CNS Lymphoma I was reminded that "In creation you see God's power, at the cross, you see His love. In creation you see His Hand, at the cross, you see His heart." Our cancers are not from our loving Heavenly Father but we must pray for guidence into His Will. Saying this is easy when you experience the fears, pain, uncertainty but you and your aunt must keep your eyes and the one who does have a plan in all this. Know that I am here for you both, to share my experiences, my testimonies on His loving grace, and to help keep your attitute focused on the positive.

    Hi LoveBabyJesus

    Hi LoveBabyJesus,

I wasn't sure if I should have written it in spanish since I know that it's not exactly spanish the people from Republica Domiciana speak but its kind of close...I'm glad that you and your aunt understood it. I'm from El Paso, TX the majority of the people that live here are from Mexican descent and not all but many speak spanish and english...we're called either chicanos or pochos :D

My family has been here since back when Texas was still part of Mexico and it became part of the US. That's when my great great grandmother became a US citizen and we became American! I love being a Mexican/American...I get to enjoy many Mexican traditions as well as American Traditions! Ok didn't mean to write a book hahaha!

I will continue to pray for your aunt and if she's able she can always send me a private message if she wants to talk to someone or has questions! Take care and sending you a warm Hug!

    Sincerely,

    Liz

    Hi Liz!!!

Thank you again for your support and kind words.

    I speak Spanish too! :)

Yo quiero ir a Mexico!

    Sinceramente,

    Lizeth

    Hi!

I am new here and just read your postl

I will be praying for you and your aunt.

Does she have access to a computer?  Even if she does not you do and I want to let you know about another free website that is great for support.  It is CaringBridge and it is great for keeping family and friends informed.  There is a journal for you to post and a guestbook for people to respond and place to post photos if you like.

I am 3 years in remission from Large B-cell Lymphoma/Nonhodgkins.  God has been excepetionally gracious to me and I have not suffered.  He has sustained me and put people in my life that really care for me, and I am referring to my doctors and all those involved in my treatment,

I pray this is helpful and I will be lifting you all heavenward.  I know Father will come and hold her in His loving arms.

    Blessings,

    Donna Blauw
