HELLO, LADIES!
I haven't forgotten about any of you. I've had trouble getting onto the website. Had it set as a 'favorite', but after I googled ACS I noticed the address had changed.
Anyway, tried to do a little catching up today. Some of you may not know me, but I've been around here for a long time (dx in 2000, recurrance in 2006, and now breast cancer). Had my set-up last week for radiation, and will start this week. Feeling good, just really tired. A big part of that could be my hectic schedule, so I've decided that some things are just going to be put on the back burner during these next 6 1/2 weeks.
My daugther is going in for a surgical cervical procedure tomorrow. Some of you may remember, but I posted some time ago asking if anyone had experience with cervical displaysia. Praying for a good outcome for her - she is only 27 and this has been a difficult issue for her for the last 1 1/2 years.
Well, (((HUGS))), Love and Prayers to you all! I'll check back in when time permits. Stay strong!
Monika

good to hear from you, Monika
I hope the radiation isn't too hard on you. I'm glad you are going into it with a positive attitude. I'm hoping too that things work out for your daughter. 27 is too young to have health issues like that. Keep visiting the board and let us know how you are doing!
All the best,
Susan

Oc and breast too
2001 I had two cancerous lumps removed from right breast, no chemo required. However looking back, if I had gone to a cancer specialist, the treatment might have included chemo. 2012 diagnosed and treated for oc. 2013 double mastectomy with DIEP reconstruction. My advice, when it comes to serious health issues, see a specialist. General practioners might not know the latest research or treatments.

This horrible disease doesn't take enough from us ? We also have to worry about our children and grandchildren !
My oldest daughter has ovarian cysts that her doctor is watching closely , I want her to have her ovaries removed but she is worried about early menopause. I am sure your daughter is going to be fine but with your history she will have to be vigilant.
That is my biggest fear ,that I won't be here to nag my daughters and Grandaughters to keep a close eye on their gynological health. Best Wishes to you and your daughter and keep us updated.

CA125
Today I had my 3rd round of Doxil and my oncologist told me that my CA number has gone down from 250 to 149 he said was surprised because apparantely you dont see this until later on so he is considering doing 6 rounds instead of 4 depending on future labs and numbers. Quite happy
