For my fellow warriors doing battle, or just not back to their formal Abi-Normal self..., you will be. Hang in there, get through, and start planning on the things you love and can't wait to get back to..., for me that's fishing for one...

Started the morning cold, foggy and with a slow bite….

First in the boat was a solid 15" slab…, thinking the day just turned around.

LK

But it was short lived….

Hit another area, and figured them out a little, very thick cover was key. Ended the day with several in the box…

cooler

Each week-end over at the big lake is getting better...

Same as it is with recovery..., each week is a little better, you might not realize it in that time frame.., But your body is getting healthy again.. Before you know it, this battle will all be behind you.....

Very well said my friend with the analogy. Looks like you had a productive day and so glad you are enjoying yourself. What's that crazy weather like down there in Florida? I see you have a long sleeve shirt. We Michiganders are freezing our butts off!....-4 . I don't want to see our heat bill next month...LOL!

Thanks for sharing the pics...nice to see my buddy!

    BACK TO FUN

Yea John, congrats to having a great day on the lake!  Looks like the scales were tipped in your favor!!  I second all that you said about  the inperceptable recovery process, yes it does happen slowly but most assuridly surely.  For me it was going from being barely able to walk around the block, to eventually running (slowly I might add, so I will) a marathon sporting my oh so nifty feeding tube for hydration breaks.

Here's hoping John, that your days and weeks on the lake reely continue to get bittier and bittier.  I encourage everyone to  burn your light of hope big and bright as you work your way through the tunnel, because your days fighting the battle and recovering will also get better and better and will eventually be behind you too, so that you can get back into the activities that you love sooner than later.

    Hooked

    John,

The correlation to treatment is useful.

During week 3 I caught a hamburger and threw it back.

During week 5 I hooked a striped mucus and coughed it out.

During week 7 I was in a hot spot and the rads were biting good. Luckily I had my magic mouth wash lure to reel them in.

Then the season was over and I needed new equipment, slowly but surely I am recovering what once was be it a little abi-normal.

    Hi John

Wow what a lot of Crap oh I mean Crappie’s; just remember where the fish are for when I get there.  One of the best ways to heal is to keep doing something you love to do. For me it is working in my shop, even when I have nothing to do, I just love being in there. I also love being in my brother botanical garden, it is about 6 acres of all kinds of fruit trees, and I can just walk all over and eat right from any tree I want. Now days I need to bring my blender but still just love sitting and praying while I am in there.

Keep fishing my friend hope to see you soon

    What lake. Specks are still

What lake. Specks are still slow to take the bait. Jim brought 3 nice ones home yesterday, which I quickly cleaned and fried, delish with some cheese grits. To cold this morning for him. Jim did sleep for 5 hours after coming home. But fishing is what is keeping him fighting so I say, "fish on."

Up here you would be ice fishing todays high was 8 with a wind chill close to 0. I see you had a sweatshirt on and seen on the news your temps aren't all that high.

Keep your line tight and your beer cold.

    Lake Kissimmee

But they are doing very well at some areas around you...

    Astor, Lake Crescent, Woodruff.....

They are just starting to hit the edges here getting ready for spawn... They big one was the only one with a little row, I think the rest were all males.

    Yooo Bud...

Weather in Florida this time of the year can be kinda crazy...

In the photo, I actually have a tank top on under the Henley...

Started the morning 7:00 on the water, and in the 40's...

Shorts, sweat pants, tank top, henley, sweat shirt, canvas shoes, cap and buff to cover the face...

By noon, it's just the tank top, shorts and booney hat to keep the sun off, later switching to a long sleeve breathable shirt for further sun protection ... in the low 70's.

There's days where we have the A/C on during the day, and the heater and a fire place going at night...

LOL, nothing like the cold up north, but to us low 30's is freezing...

    Talk about a slab!

That first bad boy is quite a catch! The end result looks wonderful! Give me a cold one and a plate and I'm all over that!

    Positive thoughts and prayers!
