Anyone Familiar W/Hotels Near Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN?

My appointment w/the Mayo pulmonologist is in early February. I need to book a hotel. Mayo Clinic sent me some information on hotels nearby (I guess almost all offer a shuttle service to Mayo's door), but I have no clue.

Has anyone used the hotels near Mayo Clinic in MN that aren't too terribly expensive? (BTW...Brian bless his heart volunteered to pay for my trip there with my sister-in-law!!!)

I am sure they are good hotels, but personal experiences are better than brochures are they not?

    My thought if you are not familiar with the area ...

    Auto Club can direct you to several inexpensive Hotels in the surrounding area's -- get pricing, then maybe compare to Hotels.com or priceline -- 

    I wish I knew the area, and could offer you some support,Surprised and information.

    Thanks for responding.

    I posted on breastcancer.org and a gal there recommended a hotel near the Mayo Clinic and is connected via underground pedastrian subway straight to the clinic a few blocks away and not too terribly expensive.

    If you find that the hotel

    If you find that the hotel is a five-star rating for food , but only one to clean up , you can know where the quality of the online hotels booking, serve drinks , but may be delayed if your hotel room you will see the carpet fibers and carpet in his find flights.
