Can anyone enlighten me on prostate laser ablation?  Read an article on it but have never seen anything on this thread about it.

    With the advent of more

    With the advent of more powerful MRI machine capability today, this procedure is done by some. First a multliparametric MRI is done using in most cases either a Tesla 1.5 or 3.0 MRI machine. A biopsy is done of these lesions; any positive lesions are then zapped. ...this can be done by targeting the lesion or a surronding area. There are various procedures that can be done to accomplish this. Since only part of the prostate is targeted,  this treatment has less side effects. The downside is that with current MRI capability, there can be smaller lesions that are not detected; not treated and can grow. The procedure is not perfect. There are ongoing clinical trials.

    There are newer model MRI machines that are being developed; ie tesla 6.0 that will provide greater  definitions. As a non medical professional, this yreatment choice would be more appropriate in the future with better technology.

    Great review thank you for the input.  I also found out it is not covered by insurance.
