Suction pump
I am a long term NPC survivor and had to get a feeding tube just over 2 1/2 years ago. My swallowing has continued to worsen and now I am looking for a suction machine to help with saliva/secretions that I am having trouble swallowing. I have insurance but there is a high deductible and I have found that it can be more economical for me just to buy the equipment rather than going through the DME/home health agency. Does anyone have experience with a suction machine (type, Brand) that might be of help? I work full time so portable would be a nice feature but I might need to get a "good home" unit and something else that is portable.
Thanks,
Meredith

Sunction Pump
My husband has a DeVilbiss suction machine and his is small, light weight and can be used in the car if needed. Check them out on the internet. His first one was supplied by his Medicare Advantage Insurer but we also bought one to take with us when we were able to travel and I think, can't remember because it has been almost 3 years, we paid $200 for it. I researched it on the internet and found the cheapest price.
