He's Eating Popcorn 26 days post Rads!

Well, it is 26 days post last radiation, 31 days post chemo and 33 days after his PEG tube was placed and he ate today for the first time!  We went to the movies and I got some popcorn - he was so hungry for food - he started eating popcorn!!!  I started to laugh outloud and then we went to get a burrito. Like everyone says on thie site - everyone is different.

    Woooo....good job!!!

    I'm a little jealous as I love popcorn, and still don't have enough spit to eat it.....the burrito, tho....I'd go for that one for sure :).

    I wasn’t eating Popcorn at 26 days, but I am eating it now and with fewer sips of water all the time.

    I am learning to like foods all over again.

    Mmm Popcorn

    Thought I could eat some on Saturday - one kernal at a time.

    Wrong.  Thought I was going to die.

    That's tremendous, I guess the idea just popped into his head, and he thought that it wasn't too corny............. It will just keep getting better.  When we are able to eat, it truly gives new meaning to "happy meal."
