I AM DO TO HAVE VATS SURGERY MONDAY THE 10TH, SO WAS WONDERING IF ANY BODY HAS HAD THE STAPLES TO SEAL OFF A ARTERY? THE DR TOLD ME THAT BECAUSE THIS NODULE IS SO CLOSE TO A ARTERY SO HE IS PLANNING ON GETTING THE ARTERY STAPLED OFF AND THEN PROCEED TO WEDGE OUT THE NODLE , EXAMINE IT , IF CANCER THEN PROCEED TO REMOVE THE LOWER LOBE. IF BENIGH THEN JUST CLOSE UP . SO I WATCHED A VIDEO ON A VATS AND SAW ALL THE STAPLES IT TOOK TO SEAL OFF A ARTERY , SO I AM WONDERING IF THESE STAPLES CAUSE ANY LONG TERM PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE, DOES ANY ONE KNOW OR HAVE STAPLES LEFT IN THEM ? CAN THE STAPLES GIVE A CLOUDY PICTURE ON FUTURE X-RAYS OR SCANS? SO ANY INFO WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED, THANKS IN ADVANCE
