Happy Thanksgiving Everone!

Mixed feelings this year. Could live without this illness, but once I have it I'm thankful that there are people, medicine and technology that hopefully can help us. I started folfox last Monday so I feel pretty crapy, mainly with this really bad taste in my mouth that nothing seems to take away and with all this yummie food around it ain't easy.
Join me in wishing each other Happy Thanksgiving especially to those that are down, hoping that next year will be even better.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone
I hope you've had a wonderful day, even with the individual limitations that our disease brings on.
I had that awful numb mouth for so long. I think I had Thrush for months and still have residule Thrush which I'm taking medication for.
But, I have my taste buds back and have love every bite of food I had today.

HAPPY THANKS GIVING
Hi Laz,
Thank you for posting. Sad that you have a bad taste in your mouth owing to FOLFOX. Hang in there, By next year's Thanks giving day you can have all yummy stuff back again once you are done with your FOLFOX & beaten the Monster. I started my 1st round of CAPOX yesterday. Hmm 8 long cycles to go. That’s a pretty long journey. Oxy & Xeloda will be my friends for the next 6 to 7 months & hope they will get me out of this agony without beating me much.
Sending my prayers to you. Happy Thanks giving to you & your beautiful wife and all my friends on the board. Let’s keep beating this monster.
Gavin
