I HAVE SOME WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!!
my brother was released from the hospital and is now home. He's feeling much better. I don't think he'll be well enough to come to our house for Thanksgiving dinner, so I'll pack up some food and bring it there for him and dad. He will have a visiting nurse come to check on him and he has an appointment with his oncologist on Monday for a follow-up and discussion of what is to come. Thank you everyone for all your prayers and support. Thanksgiving is so much better knowing he is home.

Glad he is out of the hospital and home for the holiday. It also seems that our healing is better at home as well.
Bringing holiday food to them will surely be appreciated, as will the visit be welcome.
Sounds like this will be a special Thanksgiving for you and yours.

I believe everyone should go home soon from a hospital before they get sicker. Hospital is not really designed for getting better...then one doesn't fit in. So, I'm glad your brother is not trying to fit in and got home. That's more to my liking! 
Now, who cares if he cannot eat the bird? That should be the smallest concern...He'll be at home, nice and cozy and he'll bounce back up so fast you won't be able to make him sit down again. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!!! -

I'm so glad your brother was able to get home in time for the holiday. It's not much fun being in the hospital for these special days (although sometimes it is the right place to be, depending on what's going on).
