Thankful for you all

So thankful to have you all. My sister and I could have nutted up a long time ago without having you all to encourage us. the first time we had to take the reigns in my parents care was when my mom first got cancer. We didn't know what to expect or do.  This board helped us (helps us) through cancers everlasting joys (scans blood work chemo brain etc) and for that we are thankful.  Everyday I am reminded of what Kathi the travelor, Pepe the family man, and Maglets they pie maker have shown us, which is to not let cancer or the fear of it dictate out lives as a family.

Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday.  It is a day for all of us to be thankful for the many blessings in our lives.  And having all of you to consult with and converse with is certainly a blessing for me.  And this forum makes it happen.

So glad the forum has been helpful to you over the years.  The cancer journey is tough for both the patient and for those who love us, but it's a little bit easier when we walk it together.

I'm a caregiver as well and don't know what I would do without this board. It has been such a tremendous support both emotionally and informationally. Mags, the apple pie is also my favorite. Dad usually makes a home made apple pie for us for Thanksgiving, but this year we'll have to put that off until Christmas. Apple pie a la mode, yum!!!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING and thank you all for becoming my new friends!

you have given plenty to this board over the years - wow years.  so glad you are encouraged from something so small as the written word.  it is a bunch of little things that make life grand and worth living - at least that is what i think.

I ordered an apple and

I ordered an apple and pumpkin pie from my granddaughters school, ended up with a berry and pumpkin, so who has to eat the berry!  Me!  good thing for lots of whip cream!

I made an apple pie,

apples picked from the trees on my late father's property.  I added a ton of cinnamon and candied ginger.  It was delicious!
