Early Remission DLCBL symptons?

Just over a week ago my hubby was given the all clear and told no chemo, no radiation and a 3 mo followup. CT scan, no PET. He had gained weight and felt well but then he had just came off his last taper of prednisone. A couple of days ago he was had fluid swishing around his abdomen and he ended up throwing up at 2:00am. Then again today he felt fluid in his abdomen. He did not throw up had no pain and wasn't nauseated. His lymphoma at diagnosis was stage II abdominal on his pancreas. I called the Dr and (away this week) and probably will set appointment for next week although it is just 10 days ago she had seen him. There are signs on the CT scan that still show inflammatory changes, fat stranding ect. Has anyone here with experienced these kind of symptoms in the early days after the cancer has been diagnosed as being in remission? There are no masses left other than a 1.1 cm portacaval node. Dr says she does not consider anything less than 2 cm a problem. I think when diagnosing that criteria is fine but not when cancer has already been diagnosed and treated. Obviously I will wait until we see her again but I find the abdominal symptoms alarming.

The first question I would ask is "how aggressive was the cancer".  My DLBCL is very aggressive (and also chemo resistant...another story).  I was also stage IV with no mass.  One thing I've learned from this board...is...you need to push the doctors.

I believe all  DLCBL is aggressive as that is the nature of this kind of cancer.  My husband responded very well to Chemo but it was difficult for him.  The last 6th Chemo was only at 50% strength.  The CT scan was done a couple of weeks ago and it looked good to the doctor.  I think the fact that his cancer was abdominal might have something to do with the symptoms he has experienced.   Lymphoma can leave lots of scar tissue and inflammation behind after chemo.
