Got same hoax message with same user name but she signed it Mary Bones. I did turn it in a few days ago to system administrator. Hopefully they will stop this soon.
I just joined yesterday and have already gotten one of these messages. Mine is from a Mrs. Helen from Iraq. What a discusting thing for someone to do but not uncommon.

Handling of spammers and scammers
Hi all.
I am American Cancer Society staff with responsibility for CSN. We immediately block people who join CSN to spam or scam legitimate members. We take extra steps to prevent them from creating new accounts, but such predators often know how to get around them. We depend heavily upon our legitimate members to report these incidents and warn other members - as you have done. We monitor discussion board posts and the expressions gallery routinely but we do not monitor your CSN private messages. It is therefore critical that members let us and others know immediately when someone uses CSN private messages to spam, scam, or for other purposes that violate CSN terms & conditions for usage. If you aren't sure about something but have a concern or suspicion, please report it to CSN via the "Contact CSN" link on the upper right hand corner of every page. Please be assured that your correspondence to us is completely confidential. We will investigate the situation and take action as indicated.
We are very sorry this happened. Unfortunately, it may happen again as it is rampant on the internet.
When reporting an incident, the minimal information needed is the CSN username.
Warmly,
greta
Your CSN staff
