I am so sorry to hear more

I am so sorry to hear more bad news from you.

If I were you, I would contact the owners and/or managers of your apartment building and let them know you need a handicapped parking spot as well, make sure you have all the necessary documentation from your doctors and your state handicapped information that you have from the state for your handicapped sticker/tag for your vehicles.

I would also research The Americans With Disabilities Act (http://www.ada.gov/cguide.htmand the local commission on disability and aging in your area.

I know that when I lived in an apartment, and someone new moved in and needed a handicapped parking spot, another one was granted.

In the meantime, your husband could help you out by parking close to the door as he can to get you in the car. You have to be able to leave the house to get to doctor appointments, right?

Do you have a wheelchair and/or walker? If you don't have a wheel chair, talk to your doctor about. Same goes to having a walker. They make walkers you can sit on (you could sit on your walker while your husband pulls up the car).

You are not alone in bad things happening. It happens to alot of us where it is one thing after another.

I hope you can get things straightened out and get a handicapped parking spot.

    i thought depending on size

i thought depending on size of lot/ # of spaces certain % had to be handicap accessiable. Perhaps contact complex manager or check with local laws and regualations through

    Can't your husband pick you

Can't your husband pick you up and drop you off near the door when you go out with him? At least then you wouldn't have to walk so far in the parking lot.

I still would look at finding out about the Americans With Disabilities Act and perhaps calling the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in your area. I am sure they can help you.
