CERVICAL DISPLAYSIA
Hello Again. I've asked questions on this before, but just trying to get some experience feedback on this if possible.
Daugther (27) has been diagnosed with cervical displaysia. Her levels (from low grade to now at Cin III, confirmed with biopsy) have fluctuated over the last couple of years. Oncologist recommends either 1. follow-up in 6 months with pap test or 2. follow-up in 6 months with colposcopy (which she has had before) or 3. partial removal of cervix.
Any suggestions or insight, ladies? Would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Monika
So sorry that you and your daughter have to go through this additional stress. What I know about cervical displasia is what I've read on-line: this is abnormal cells found on the surface of the cervix. It can range from mild to severe, depending on the appearance of the abnormal cells. What the oncologist is recommending appears to be consistent with what I've read. Has the oncologist indicated that s/he is leaning towards any one of the three recommendations? If you and your daughter feel unsure, you might want to consider getting a second opinion.
Wishing the best for you and your daughter!
Hugs,
Kelly
