Mayo appointment

in Esophageal Cancer #1

Clint and I are going to Mayo next week.  We will be meeting with oncologist Dr. Grothey and surgeon Dr. Allen.  Anyone know anything about these docs?  We have an appointment with Dr. Urba at U of M this Thursday so at least we will have some idea where she wants to go with treatment.  We are still waiting for appointments at MDA and Hopkins--not sure if we will go there espeically if we cant get in very soon.

    Tumor Board

    Thanks.  We are so frustrated...at least I am.  They took Clint's case (after PET) to tumor board again.  Said PET is negative but tumor still so small and high probabability it's cancer so wait til after next CT...no plan beyond that.  Dr. Urba said if cancer, probably SBRT to liver area and maybe new endo to see status of esophagus (looks "nearly"complete response.  She didn't have much to say about other targeted therapies except one tried with another patient "didn't work".
